Working with Pamela Roberts and the team at GPB was a thrilling ride for Johnnetta. They captured the story of Johnnetta's life in a raw, unfiltered masterpiece. Allowing her to face her horrifying past, revisit her childhood home and terror, and come face to face with her mother to ask the questions that really matter. But in the end, it was well worth it. The documentary went on to receive an Emmy^® Award in 2010 for Outstanding Achievement: Television Programming Excellence for a Topical Documentary.
